Our BAFE qualified engineer can service and maintain your extinguishers on site, for the price of £3.50 per extinguisher. This includes any service labels, anti-tamper tags, pressure gauge dots and 'O' rings. A lot of companies don't include this. In fact, certain companies put a markup of about 800% on the cost price of these parts, and will hide it until you receive your invoice. We won't!

We charge a £50 flat fee for attendance. If any extinguishers need to be discharged, additional costs will apply. Similarly, if extinguishers have reached the end of their serviceable life and will need to be replaced, we can supply them, but additional costs will apply.

Extinguisher Maintenance Terms and Conditions

1. The service inspection of fire extinguishers will be carried out in accordance with the requirements of:
- BS5306:2009-3 (Code of Practice)
- BS EN 3 Standard
- The Pressure Equipment Directive
- Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005

2. Reasonable access must be provided to our engineer to all parts of the premises required to carry out the service inspection. We reserve the right to charge a fee for extinguishers which we are initially asked to service, but are not permitted access to.

3. Our engineer will be able to work between 8am and 6pm. If the engineer is expected to work extended hours, this must be agreed in writing prior to the visit.

4. The price of £3.50 per extinguisher is in respect of the service inspection of the fire extinguisher and includes the cost of supplying and fitting of the following items only: anti-tamper tags, pressure gauge dots, service labels, 'O' rings. We will charge extra for recharging and refilling of any used or partially-used extinguishers, topping up pressurisation, discharge testing (and subsequent recharging and refilling), or in the case of dry powder and CO2 extinguishers, the supply of a replacement refurbished serviceable extinguisher.

5. When the engineer visits your premises, any extinguishers deemed as "condemned" (as per the Code of Practice), will be advised to be replaced. We can supply new replacement extinguishers, but will not do so without your consent.

6. For reasons of economy, any minor defects (which do not require complete overhaul) will be repaired at that time, at the current rate of £5 per extinguisher.

7. The Client is aware that although extinguishers should be inspected/serviced annually, the Client is not entering into a contract with us to service their extinguishers every year.

8. We assume that you will advise our engineer of the location of any concealed or hidden services (including, but not limited to, water, gas, electricity, telephone, wiring, pipes or any services whatsoever) occasioned by drilling and fixing operations. In the absence of such advice, we will not accept any liability whatsoever for damage to such hidden services for any consequential loss or damage, due to the penetration of such services, occasioned by drilling or fixing operations.
